Why give away games for free?
Put simply, we want you to download and play a game for free,
and if you like it, you can buy the full version. What you download for
free is called the demo version. This way, you can spend your money only
in games you know you like.
Why should I pay for the game, then?
The demo version is just a small part of the full version; the full version has
lots of features not included in the demo version. You get more levels (many more,
like ten times more), more enemies, more objects. You get bonus features, like an
editor to make your own levels, or the ability to play with your friends.
It's like the trailers shown in theaters before the main movie. If you like what
you see in the trailer, you go see the movie. In this case, it's even
better - with the full version, you get not only more of what you liked from the
demo version, but also lots of new fun stuff.
What if I get a new computer? Will I have to pay again?
Absolutely not! Just ask for a new download link at
support@MysteryStudio.com,
with your order number if possible, and we'll send you a new download link as soon
as possible (usually a couple of hours).

How do I download and play a demo version?
In the Main page,
next to the game of your choice, you will find a Try the FREE demo link.
Click it to go to the download page. Your download will start immediately and you'll be
enjoying the game within minutes. If you are new to downloading, visit our

How do I buy a game?
Just click the BUY NOW link next to the game you want to buy. Alternatively,
if you are playing the DEMO version of the game, click any of the BUY NOW buttons.

Why was your company called Mr.io Software before?
Back in 2002, we were looking for a name for our upcoming company. Without really thinking about it, we drew this :
We instantly liked it, but we hadn't a name for it. So what is it? It's a
mysterious man in the door. We then came up with the name Mystery.
In spanish, our native language besides C++, "Mr.io" is pronunced almost like
"misterio", which means "mistery". Thus, the name of the guy at the door is also
its description - a neat, bilingual wordplay.
Months later, we came to the conclussion that the wordplay wasn't that neat after all - so
we kept the logo and changed our name to something easier to remember. We've been
doing business as Mystery Studio since mid-2004.
What's your development platform?
We're extremely cross platform - we use Fedora Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. The
software we use for development is mostly Open Source and includes gcc, gedit,
GIMP, ImageMagick, gtksee, Subversion, Meld, OpenOffice and many others. We use
high quality third party libraries, such as the excellent
Simple Directmedia Layer
and the ZLib compression library.
For the business side, we use great applications like OpenOffice, GNUCash and GNUmeric.
We also use a MinGW-based cross-compilation environment. We use the
NullSoft Installation System (NSIS) to create our installers (more precisely, the
command line version, which runs fine under WINE).
